Will lead a team providing CICS and Model 204 support. Will participate in providing z/OS, z/VM, and hardware infrastructure and operational support. Responsible for proposing, planning, documenting, approving, assigning, supervising, working on and completing tasks/projects related to area of responsibility. Responsible for managing staff including monitoring work product, coaching, counseling, setting goals and staff reviews. Responsible for participating in Change Control processes. Work with vendors, consultants on project tasks. Manage technical relationship with software vendors. Provide technical quidance to junior staff. Work with clients on requirements, schedules, problem resolution, and provide consulting to clients as necessary. Responsible for installation, implementation, customization, and process improvement of supported systems. Responsible for planning timeframes and meeting deadlines for various projects. Responsible for problem determination, problem escalation and communication of problem determination status with management and clients. Responsible for timely communications with staff and management on projects and support issues.

Duration:  24 Months +

Assignment Description

 

The technical consultants services requested are for the performance of ongoing development, enhancement, and maintenance of the client’s database system.  It is the system of record for many of the clients business requirements, including but not limited to, registration, enrollment, tracking, etc.  It is a Model 204 database and all programming is done in the M204 user language.  Consultants working on this database must have this specialized technical knowledge and experience detailed in the Skills and Tasks section below.

 

 

Skills:

•  8 or more years experience in Model 204 User Language

•  5 or more years experience with File Manager

•  Business/System Analysis Skills

•  Good writing and verbal communication skills

 

Tasks:

1.  Assist in requirements gathering and analysis.

2.  Analyze requirements and propose file and screen designs.

3.  Using in-depth knowledge of M204 User language, write programs to meet requirements.

4.  Analyze coding problems and de-bug complex user language programs.

5.  Using in-depth knowledge of data structures, data modeling assist in the design of complex systems incorporating many programs, files and data structures.

6.  Create meaningful test data, engage in testing, debugging and quality control.

7.  Evaluate performance of the application and suggest efficiency measures.

8.  Assist in new functionality development.

9.  Perform maintenance of existing system functionality.

10.  Assist in the knowledge transfer of systems and business programming and business logic to other development teams.
