EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 8 Years COBOL/DB2

JOB: Applicants must have a minimum of 8 years COBOL/DB2 experience on different applications from the initial design phase through implementation and on to maintenance and enhancement phases. Experience in design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and enhanced systems on DB2 DB and interfacing subsystems.

ESTIMATED START DATE: October 1, 2011 ( 18 Month Contract )

ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION: Will perform ongoing Development, Enhancement, and Maintenance of the client’s business requirements. A DB2 environment, all programming is done in COBOL Language. Consultants must have specialized knowledge, and detailed experience in the Skills and Tasks section below.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• 8 years  IBM Mainframe COBOL/DB2 development
• 8 years IBM Mainframe CICS development
• 8 years VSAM experience with Variable Length Records
• 8 years SQL development
• 8 years MVS JCL experience
• 8 years TSO/ISPF experience
• 5 years XML experience
• 3 years mainframe migration experience using Endevor
• 3 years test plan development and execution experience
• 1 year Inter Test as a mainframe source level debugger

DESIREABLE SKILLS:

• 6 years IDMS development experience
• 6 years Mainframe Technical Lead including designing detailed specifications
• 5 years writing formal design specifications experience
• 3 years experience with scheduling systems ( e.g. Court Scheduling )
• 3 years defect management ( e.g. Test/Quality )
• 2 years Visio experience detailing system design specs
• 2 years Crystal Reports experience
• 2 year familiarity with SOA
